Lunzenhof Stud is mourning

F Samirah

Lunzenhof Stud is mourning: foundation mare F Samirah died. It’s a heavy loss not only for their breeding, but emotionally – F Samirah was far more than a successful show mare and dam, she was also a gentle friend for Inge and Hannsjürgen Friedmann.

F Samirah was born in 1999. Her sire was the Ruminaja Ali son, Ali Valentino, and her dam was Sarameena, whose son F Shamaal became European Champion and Reserve World Champion, to name only the most prestigious titles.
Samirah herself also has a show career under her belt: in 2001, she was made Egyptian of the Year in Velgen when she won the titles of Champion Filly, Class Winner, and Female Champion. In addition, she was placed second in her class for the European Championships in Verona, and in the same year, won the title of Reserve Champion Filly for the National Championships in Neustadt/Dosse. In 2006, Samirah became Egyptian of the Year again, this time as a Senior Mare Champion, Class Winner, and Female Champion. She left the Tulip Cup in Derne (the Netherlands) as Reserve Champion Mare, and won her class and the titles of Supreme Female Champion and of Best in Show in Mooslarque (France) in the same year.
F Samirah’s daughters F Siraja and F Sana Bint Al Lahab are members of the broodmare band on Lunzenhof Stud.
